Jamie Nabozny is passionate about safe schools and standing up to
anti-gay bullying. His own dramatic story from middle school and high
school is told in the film, "Bullied: A Student, A School, and A Case
that Made History" by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Says Jamie, "GLBTQ Online High School is so important for all the kids that can't wait for it to get better. I would have loved to have had GLBTQ Online High School as an option when I was in high school." Jamie is a member of the GLBTQ Online High School Speaker's Bureau, and you can learn more on our GLBTQ Studies page. |

Greg Louganis began competing in diving at age 10. By 16, he had won his first Olympic medal. At 24, he became the first man in 56 years to win two gold medals in diving by winning both the platform and springboard events. In 1988, competing against divers half his age, he became the first to win double gold medals for diving in two consecutive Olympics. Greg has launched a scholarship for the school in his name, and commented, "When I was a young gay man traveling around the world for my sport, I would have loved to have a school that gave me a great education, followed me everywhere, and still connected me to a broad community of supportive peers and teachers. GLBTQ Online High School is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that dramatically increases the options available for queer and questioning youth everywhere." |
